The Pan American Round Table of Corpus Christi awards scholarships annually to students and faculty at area colleges and universities. The criteria for selection of recipients is as follows:
The recipient shall be a person with an interest in fostering mutual understanding among the countries of the Western Hemisphere in the areas of history, culture, language, government, business and/or the arts.
If the recipient is an undergraduate or graduate student, the student must demonstrate financial need. The recipient must be a citizen of the United States or of a country of the Western Hemisphere who intends to return to his/her native country.
If the recipient is an undergraduate or graduate student, the recipient shall be enrolled or intend to enroll in
Texas A & M University–Corpus Christi, Texas A & M University–Kingsville or Del Mar College. The recipient must enroll in a minimum of twelve college credit hours and maintain a 2.5 grade point average or better on a four-point scale.
If the recipient is a faculty member applying for an enhancement grant, he or she must be a faculty member at an institution in the South Texas region.
Students should submit an application through the financial aid office of their college or university (SEE APPLICATION LINK ABOVE) along with a letter of financial need and a reference from a faculty member of that institution.
Faculty members should submit a proposal that includes a narrative description, a detailed budget, and a curriculum vita. The applications and supporting documentation must be submitted to the college or university financial aid office no later than May 1st.
